The Longtime Sandlot Wedding
OMGGGGGGGGGG. I loved everything about this wedding and these clients are *everything*. It was a ride, getting to this wedding. Katy and Beth were in NYC at the time of the quarantine in an apartment the size of…well, not big enough for quarantining, that’s for sure. I think we all discovered how small all of our homes were during that time period. I was thrilled when they could come and visit this past summer. I made them and one of their mama’s lunches. Stir fry and some dessert I don’t remember anymore. Imagine my surprise when a couple of weeks later, a PLANT shows up in my mail. THEY THANKED ME WITH A PLANT. It still sits on my desk and I love it so much. Not a lot of guests give me thoughtful gifts but when they do, I proudly show them in my home. I literally learned how to take care of this plant so I wouldn’t kill my enduring love for these two.
Jokes aside, this day was so fun. They wanted to get married at a super cute baseball field, which is a first for me. Under a massive, old tree? Check. Dogs? Check. Beautiful sunset? Check!!! PIZZA? Check, check, check! It was definitely one for the books. I would say the only thing that went wrong this day was the serious heat. Wayyyy hotter than we expected. It was worth it in the end though. OH! And the fastest ceremony of my career. We’re talking like 4.5 minutes. That was…intense. HAH!
