Flo and Nicole

Hummingbird House Wedding

Man, my holiday break was *lovely*. My day job gives employees TWO WEEKS off for the holidays and it was glorious. Hot baths, long walks, trying out new recipes, reading a ton of books, and…that’s about it. hah! I did one wedding that’s for the books. Otherwise, I ate a ton of food and basically did nothing. Argo was utterly spoiled. In fact, my first week back to working 50+ hours, he had a “ruff” time adjusting. As a border collie, there are NEVER enough walks. Also, I attempted to watch the new Matrix and…promptly turned it off after thirty minutes. What the hell was that trainwreck???

Now that the new year has begun and the trainwreck of 2022 has begun, let me share one of my recent favs! Flo and Nicole were super fun and absolutely adorable together. Rhonda, Flo’s mama, called me with such excitement. Because my brand is so queer-focused, she knew Flo and Nicole would be in good hands. I had never shot at the Hummingbird House before, so I was really looking forward to the day. I adored their outfits, the sunshine was to die for, and my favorite planner (and best friend) Cassie with Bride’s Best Friend was there at the helm. We were able to do five weddings together this past busy season. I adore working with her and her team—I know things are going to run smoothly. Urban Cowboy created a spectacular meal for everyone—including my food allergies. If you love the flowers, make sure to contact Six Pence Florals. Those colors are everything!

I think the only difficulty on this day was my inability to check the weather and get a jacket. I was *dying* of chill. I’m not very good at the cold and I’m not as smart as Cassie, who has a jacket that HEATS UP.
