Erika and Davide // Backyard Engagement Session

How romantic is this Backyard Engagement Session?!?

HOW IS IT ALMOST NOT AUGUST.

You know, I’ve started oodles of blogs like this, commenting on the passing of time. In hindsight, did 2019 Me really understand the complexities of time passing? 2020 has brought a whole new understanding of time. I’m also wondering….would Einstein have discovered the theory of time more efficiently if he had lived through quarantine?

I can honestly say, though, that I’ve used my time relatively wisely. I’m three weeks from my masters, after all. By the end, I will have done five masters classes since January, which I’m really proud of. I have a goal of finishing my novel by the end of this month, although I’m currently struggling with some self-doubt. I know there is so much more I need to develop with my writing skills and by golly, I’m impatient. I remember how I felt this way about photography. Way back when, I worked hours upon hours upon days upon weeks, learning everything I could.

I’m still not where I want to be! My ADHD makes it super difficult to focus on anything.

But I’m glad I stuck with this. Even through all of this pandemic chaos, I’m happy to be able to focus on my business. I’m not sure if you noticed, but I did a whole rebrand. I’ve been working on how things work for my clients (i.e. you or hopefully you, soon), as well as finding ways to bring magic to the overall experience. It’s been nice to have the time and energy to do this.

It has also been awesome to help serve my clients in this painful time. For example, let me introduce you to Erika and Davide.

Unfortunately, Davide’s family is Italian so there was no way they would be able to come for their June wedding. It was rescheduled for next year, but on the original date, we got together in their beautiful garden to take some stunning images for their Backyard Engagement Session. At the end, they leapt into their pool, which was also so much fun! I don’t get to take enough photos like that!

I’m excited for 2020 to be over. It was/is the hindsight year we, in hindsight, could have never expected (except everyone told us to expect it). In the meantime, I plan on making the best of it and hoping 2021 won’t be worse. I also can’t wait for Erika and Davide’s Ma Maison wedding next year!
