Engagement Session at Monahans Sandhills State Park
It’s not often I declare it’s a good idea to go play in the same but when Christine approached me looking to do an Adventum Session, I was 100% into the idea. I’ve passed it before headed to Marfa and Big Bend, so it was a joy to pack up with Christina and Chris into their care and make the seven-hour trek to one of the coolest places in Texas: Monahans Sandhills State Park. We had thought about camping there but it didn’t pan out—this was a semi-disappointment. It’s really that beautiful out there. We were so anxious when we ran into rain. What if it was pouring when we got there? One of the reasons we headed there in the first place was Milky Way photos and sadly, we were right on that account. Luckily, however, it ended up not raining!! So we were able to capture some of the most gorgeous and fun images in the sand dunes!
Taking a quick 24-hour road trip with clients I barely knew was slightly anxiety-inducing but we were all so concerned about one another being comfortable that it balanced out wonderfully. I’m so excited about their wedding day in December!
