Stay tuned below for an awesome Camping Engagement Session
I am so super excited to share that I finished Draft Zero for my untitled polyamorous novel! I ended with 75,100 words, which is just mind-boggling. I started it on July 1st, hoping to finish it by the end of July with Camp NaNoWriMo but I got a bit derailed in Belize. I didn’t know where to take it. I had hit 35,000 words, totally pantsing the shit out of it…then I stumbled. Spent a week away from it, recharging and enjoying some traveling.
Then I picked it back up. Wrote an insane scene that recharged me and got me reinvested in my characters. What a crazy wild ride. It’s insane to think to myself that I’m a writer. Somehow, writing and publishing memoirs last year wasn’t enough for me to consider myself a writer. Call it imposter syndrome or something. Starting a degree in writing wasn’t enough either. No, I had to write a whole second book to really believe that maybe I could do this.
Naturally, I have no clue if it’s any good. It’s a super niche storyline, probably won’t be a bestseller. I just wanted representation put into the world of novels, in a way I’ve never seen done before.
But now I’m all like…wtf do I do now? Haha! I have books to read and need to get back into ASL, I put it on hold for a couple of weeks while this book took so much mental bandwidth. The options are endless and it feels awesome!!! 🙂 Speaking of awesome, here is this amazing rad camping engagement session at Krause Springs that I just ADORE. That place is magic! I had such an amazing time with Rebecca and Henry’s camping engagement session. I had never been to Krause Springs before, so it was a delightful day to experience it.
