Getting back to work feels so GOOD! This past week has been so productive for me. I actually tried some new meds recently and it held me back for two weeks. This past week, I slammed about sixty hours into the long week, while also working hella hard on my book too. It’s been a fascinating journey, writing my first fiction novel. I started it with something in mind and now, the only thing recognizable about the book are the characters. Even they are changing. I often chatter to Josh while he’s cooking or I’m in bed and tell him what my characters forced me to do that day. It’s fun! Getting a masters in something I’m passionate about is totally the right choice. I don’t know how people can tolerate MBAs, but I suppose thats why I’m an artist. Numbers are hard, y’all…
Sometimes, it feels like the list of things to do never shortens, merely draws itself out, painfully. It’s nice to feel like things are finding a new normal, hence my excitement to drive to Llano, Texas. It was at Austin’s parent’s ranch, where his dad has started a vineyard for retirement. The amount of wildflowers still around was amazing! I had been sad, thinking I would miss spring entirely and go straight to the heat of Hell on earth! It was interesting, having so many Saturdays available. I’m not going to lie…it’s been nice. I get to spend time with the kids more, I’ve been more rested than I’ve ever been, I get more time with Josh. It won’t forever be like this, which is good and bad. hah! Until then, I’ll be doing shoots and practicing my craft in a more intentional way!
So let me share with you these lovely engagement session! I hope your spring wasn’t too intense and I sincerely hope your summer is much better!
