Corinne and Michael’s Springdale Station Wedding

December 30, 2019

Helloooo gorgeous

Springdale Station Wedding!

The year is winding down and I survived the busy season without a single breakdown. That’s maximum adult level, right? Is this how this works?!

I’ve turned my sights onto 2020 with some solid goals. Pay off credit card debt, save money to close on a house, write a whole draft of a novel, finish my masters. Totally achievable, right?! I actually got the whole family involved in planning goals for the year. The kids are a bit weirded out by it, but they’re also weirded out when I ask them to share something they’re grateful for before eating…I’ll just be a weird parental unit and pray they grow up to be good humans.

Speaking of good humans, Corinne and Michael had a lovely Springdale Station wedding in Austin, Texas. We first hung out in Mueller Austin for their engagement sessions, which was so fun! Springdale Station is one of the many amazing Austin wedding venues, so I’m really excited to share it with you. I love a good Springdale Station wedding because there is so much color all around. Plus, you can pop on over to Friends and Allies for a drink. A lot of Corinne and Michael’s friends did just that!

These two lucked out, seriously, with stunning weather in November. Actually, all of my November weddings lucked out this year. It’s a relief, to be honest. Rain on wedding days are always a little bit harder on everyone involved. I definitely try to make the best of it but let’s face it: sunshine is always a winner, especially for winter weddings.

One of my favorite parts of this wedding was Corinne and Michael’s dancing. Over the years, I’ve seen all kinds of first dances. Most are rather mundane. Don’t get me wrong, the first dance is so fun and is rooted in a pretty cool tradition, IMO, but where is the ACTION! MOVEMENT! FLAIR! So imagine my joy when I saw these two boogying out like champions. It’s rare to see guys just dance it out, so Michael is a champion in my book! It helps that their band, Edison Chair, really killed it. Corinne said they even learned songs just for them, which is pretty special!

As usual, thanks to the vendors that made this day amazing for our clients. Here’s to working together more in 2020 at other amazing Austin wedding venues, but hopefully Springdale Station more than others!
