Wind on a wedding day is very very difficult to deal with. I’ve been doing this a long time and 9/10 times, if it’s a windy day, a bride has decided to wear her hair down. LOL The good news is that if done right, you can get beautiful windswept shots.
Audrey and Chris had one of the windiest days, but that didn’t stop them from having such a sweet and touching wedding, full of details to help their friends and family enjoy the whole experience. They decided to hold the event at Springdale Station, which is such a lovely venue. Big windows and a rustic industrial feel. I had been to the station once before, for a sound bath and meditation event. Seeing it in all of it’s event glory was a treat!
One of the things I love about Audrey and Chris is that they just have a simple, quiet kind of love. It seems to exist simply in the space between and around them. One of the things I’ve learned doing this job is the variety of love that exists. Love for one couple will be totally different from another. I think there is something profoundly beautiful about that. A good wedding photographer can see that and bring it out, rather than shooting everyone all the same.
There was also an excellent team that day, with Weddings by Weaver at the helm, making sure everything went smoothly. I was impressed at how well run the whole shindig was, so kudos to the team!
Also, let me tell you…Austin Catering made some of the best food I’ve had at a wedding. Their smoked salmon is *incredible* and I’m grateful it was also gluten free! ha! But seriously, totally blown away by their quality!
The party was hopping thanks to Jeff with Spacecraft Entertainment, who works tirelessly to kick butt at events!
Thanks to the other vendors that made it a success! We couldn’t make it a great day for our clients without you!
