Take a gander if you’re looking for a Texas elopement photographer! I would love to work with you!

So I sit here at my desk a lot and just work. Work work work. Editing, emails, blogs, vendor care, social media, organization, studying. I watch a *lot* of TV as a result. The other day, I somehow found ten hours to watch The Haunting of Hill House. My dude, I highly recommend that ish. Anyway, I’m sitting here watching 90 Day FiancĂ© and I’m not sure how I feel about it. It seems mostly like white man boys meeting immature crazy girls, deciding that 90 days is enough time to know someone. This one guy is like in his thirties and still lives with his parents, marrying this hottie from Colombia. I mean, she’s so sweet and genuine and adorable…but the dude’s mother literally told the fiancĂ© she would have to learn how to cook like her. Uh excuse me Karen, but your codependency is unattractive. Cut the cord Karen, cut it! It’s a great case for eloping, for sure.

Annnnnd that’s my life, too many hours of lame-ass TV. Hi there. Welcome. Have a seat on my couch. LOL!

The great news is that my clients are not like this. I think. I don’t learn a ton about in-law dynamics haha! A lot of clients are exhausted as the wedding nears, but usually it’s because planning a wedding is exhausting. Relationships are so complex and complicated and I think that’s the really beautiful part of it all. It’s a big reason I love my job. I approach each of my clients in a way that allows me to experience their dynamics as authentically as possible. I think that’s why I love shows like this: I get to see relationships unfold as they will, but without the emotional investment on my end. Haha! I have a real love for My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding too. Have you ever seen it?

Anyway, I’m here to show this gorgeous elopement that I did last month. April and Danny were really adorable together, nothing like the reality television train wrecks I watch while I edit photos of happy people. LOL! I loved this particular day, even though the judge/court time was pushed back for an HOUR. Aiya. But we had a great time going around downtown Austin and then heading to the courthouse so they could get hitched! I’d love to do more elopements. I did so many when I was working in Hawaii and it was a great experience. So here I am, putting it into the world: MOAR ELOPEMENTS DURING THE WEEK PLEASE!
