Loving this Pedernales Falls Maternity Session! Let me know if you want one too!
The first time I met Andrea was back in 2009, at the Yardhouse in Waikiki. A gaggle of girls were meeting to get to know one another and I was most likely already drunk, as 2009 was the year of “who cares?”
Drea showed up, beautiful curly hair, drinking after her paralegal job. I don’t know what it was, but I knew I had to be friends with her. I slowly wormed my way into her life, determined that this vivacious woman, was going to be my friend. We’ve been through so much together. We’ve had weird nights we’ve vowed to not tell anyone about. We’ve never fought, we’ve never disagreed. Except maybe that one time I visited her in D.C. and couldn’t stay awake to go to a drag show. That wasn’t a fight though, she was just sad at my lameness.
ANYWAY, here we are in 2017, a year after her Italian elopement. Now, her maternity session! After watching her miserable with an ex-husband, seeing her content and happy with Scott is all I need. I swear Scott was ready to choke me out when I asked her to scale a wall of rock or stand barefoot in freezing water at Pedernales Falls. Drea was willing to do anything for the shot, but he was worried about her and the baby, rightfully so. It was comforting (if not amusing) to see him fret over her. She’s deserves someone to love her enough to worry about her.
I’m excited to be photographing this growing family as time passes. I’m blessed to have this woman in my life. My tribe is a good one.
I don’t always do maternity sessions, but when I do, they’re epic! Want an epic maternity session? Let me know!!!
