I love this lgbt styled shoot at Prospect House
I might’ve mentioned once or twice how much Austin loves styled shoots. I also said I wasn’t going to do anymore this year, but when my good friend Makael of Blushd Beauty and Hair (who is the bomb freakin’ dot com) asked me to get involved in this styled shoot, how could I turn it down? She organized everything so I would just have to show up. I’m really glad I showed up, because when the groom model didn’t show (what an unprofessional douche), I quickly thought and suggested, “let’s make this an LGBT wedding shoot!”
I’m going to voice my disappointment that some vendors pulled their name from this shoot when that happened, but that’s Texas: some get it, some don’t. Why someone would fearfully deny themselves business is beyond me, but I’LL TAKE ALL THE GAY PLEASE. I want to become the best LGBT photographer in Texas and the more, the merrier. Shout out to the models that barely blinked when I asked them to be intimate. Ironically, Chloe had just started dating her first girlfriend, so it was a good fit. They also had killer chemistry. I was like, “you suuuuure you don’t want to switch teams Margarita?” haha
Prospect House in Dripping Springs is also a beautiful location. I LOVE the ceremony area, a big square with a sweeping field behind it. The inside of the house is a great neutral pallet, perfect for any bride that wants to create a more custom feel. I would strongly suggest uplighting for a wedding here, but that’s a personal choice.
Anyway, here’s a list and shoutout to all of the vendors that embraced the gay and made the shoot that much more beautiful.
