In love with this Alamo Drafthouse Wedding!
This is my third time photographing these two. First, I did their Halloween elopement last year and then “engagement” photos. They also hired me for their awesome Alamo Drafthouse Wedding, that I am SO excited to show you. But first, let me tell you about these two.
Jennifer unfortunately has a lot of physical limitations, the kind that an eight hour wedding day could set her back for days, if not weeks. Yet, she and Brandon really wanted to celebrate their love in front of friends in family. We made sure to take space on the wedding day to give time for any and all tasks, traveling, etc. If you notice she’s sitting down a lot, that’s because love has no limitations, but sometimes humans do. And that’s okay.
I LOVED their idea to have their wedding at the Alamo Drafthouse, especially during the summer. They had a fantastic The Princess Bride movie party, with bells for when “true love” was said, blow up swords for sword fighting scenes and other various things for the movie. Can I just say I LOVE THAT MOVIE? It’s solid and everyone had a good time.
When the movie was done, we made our way down to Barrel O’ Fun for the reception. I loved all of the decorations!! Jennifer was such a damn trooper. She was so grateful, kind and considerate, even though she was in so much pain. If somehow in my lifetime, I can achieve half of the graciousness she has, I could only be so lucky. I truly believe this is why photography is so important to us. The effort some people put into having the perfect wedding day, a lot of able-bodied humans couldn’t fathom. Gratitude should always be the name of the game in this industry. Gratitude for love. Gratitude for family. Gratitude for friends.
Congrats to you both. I adore you. I am grateful for you.
