Check out this stunning Celestial Themed Wedding!
Hello Austin, I’m here for you. Ready for your weird, your offbeat, your unique shit. I want the naked weird dude that get their papers in the morning. I want the random horseback riders down the sixth avenue at two in the afternoon on a Tuesday. I crave the drunk evenings with loud music that fills my soul. Everything about this session, from the brainstorming of vendors to the smoke bomb that we weren’t sure about, nothing could have been more Austin, Texas.
This Celestial Themed wedding at Sekrit Theatre was simply incredible and on top of that, I got to explore a whole new style, the style I’ve always wanted to rock. Imagine blue hair, leather jackets, a real couple celebrating their one year anniversary, and a wedding venue that needs all the love it can get. See, Beau, who owns Sekrit Theater, is being hounded by the neighborhood and his awful neighbors, who are telling him that his iconic backyard movie theater isn’t okay. He was hosting weddings on a donation basis and even that was unacceptable to the city, who just wanted a piece of the pie. He’s struggling right now and we promised to give him some positive press. He definitely deserves it!
This venue is the bombdotcom. Seriously. I was overwhelmed by all of the eclectic options and took a solid thirty minutes to just wrap my head around it all. This was awesome. That was stunning. How did I pick?
Eventually, we ended up shooting for a few hours, creating a gorgeous drool-worthy Celestial themed wedding shoot that I hope inspires brides all over, not even just in Austin. The wedding day should be about you and what you love! I want to give a shoutout to the amazing vendors that made it happen. First, my fellow collaborator Coley, who works at 3 of Cups Design. We threw around a lot of ideas and played around with a design of dinosaurs and neons, but we settled on this wonderful Celestial theme, which just totally WORKED.
Do you see that perfect dress? That was lent to us from Signature Bridal Salon and while we panicked a bit about getting it dirty, it fit our model Chastity like a glove.
