Don’t be jealous of this stunning Enchanted Rock Engagement Session!
“Okay, let’s just try to get to the first hump…I don’t think we need to go all the way to the top. Right?”
Danny: “I don’t think anyone is making it to the top.”
I had been dreaming about an Enchanted Rock Engagement session for months! So when Tirza said that she and Danny mentioned the limitations of their long distance relationship, I offered a weekend session. I suggested we do something epic, like Enchanted Rock! At first, we aimed for sunset but the recent rains of this Texas summer made us nervous, so we switched to sunrise.
I got up at freakin 5am, chugging coffee and blasting music as I made my way through winding roads and fog. I contemplated plans for the holidays, calling my mom about a road trip around the East Coast. When I finally made it to Enchanted Rock, the sun was peeking through the hazy sky, a big orange ball of light. I gasped as I saw the way it played through the trees and grass, dew twinkling as the light hit the leaves.
“I hope they get here soon!” I muttered to myself, hopping from foot to foot.
Within thirty seconds of their arrival, I planted them in the middle of a cactus bush, drooling over the prettiness all around me. They immediately began to giggle, feeling a bit awkward about it all. I laughed with them, promising that they’d like at least one photo from the day. I hope they knew I was kidding, because ZOMG, these images are to die for. Sunrise is my favorite now, for mainland images. Screw how early it is!
Danny is into computer software things, while Tirza lives three hours away in Dallas as a hard working grad student. It was good to get them to walk around and have fun, even if we were all sweating our butts off by the end of the adventure!
