First off, when picking these images, I realized I would have an easier time deciding my favorite meal than picking my favorite image from this engagement session. Seriously. Maria and T were an absolute delight, laughing so hard and so often, we almost never got serious shots. Which I’m cool with if we’re being honest.
A little background! These two have been together for four years and only engaged for a month! A MONTH! They’re thinking of a destination wedding and I’m over here pulling out my passport and suitcase, hoping they love me enough to fly me somewhere. *cough cough*
They love going to distilleries and breweries, so instead of doing the average boring shots in a park, I suggested we go to their two favorite joints and take some fun photos. I knew that breweries and distilleries tend to have very interesting surroundings and design, so I had a feeling it would be the perfect backdrop for these two; I wasn’t inncorrect in my assumption!
We went to Treaty Oak Distilling and also Deep Eddy Vodka. We didn’t stay at the latter for too long, since it closed early but we spent a good hour at Treaty Oak. I’ve been drying out this month, so I got a beer that had less than 3% in it…that’s not cheating, right?! We also met a peacock named Turk who stalked us, literally and drank my beer when I wasn’t looking. Turns out Turk is a bit of an alcoholic. Peacock after my own heart.
I was impressed with both venues, if we’re being honest. Treaty Oak has this big space, with tons of different tables and the staff were so friendly. I look forward to hanging out there when I CAN drink.
So enjoy these two peeps. They were so much fun to work with and fingers crossed they are one of those clients that become friends!
