Butterflies. Fairies. Bears…oh myyyyyy. I loved this Umlauf Sculpture Garden Wedding!
This was my first full wedding experience working with 3 of Cups, for event planning and florals. I’ve done styled shoots with them before, but man, if there was ever a wedding to test ourselves in fire, this would be the one! The wedding ended up running 90 minutes late and I was forced to get as many photos done in 24 minutes…I was exhausted when I was done. I had brought a second shooter who was new to weddings and afterwards, I joked with her on how she felt being cannonballed into a hectic wedding. Her eyes slightly flared and she nervously laughed.
Liz is a vivacious gorgeous creature that is so damn expressive, I adore it. She wanted to have a fairy themed wedding, with a fairy flower girl and a ring bear. Yes, ring bear. Not ring bearer. And boy, he was the rowdiest bear in all of the lands.
You’ll noticed down towards the middle, a fantastic photo of a butterfly on Liz’s face. See, her mom used to be known as the “butterfly lady,” so when she passed, Liz wanted to pay serious homage to her mother. She decided to do a butterfly release. Now, these butterflies must have been used to humans, because they were so chill. I lifted one from Liz’s shoulder to her nose and the rest is history. It’s probably one of my favorite wedding images ever taken.
Such a fun whirlwind wedding!!! Such a great team to work with too. I love the longer I’m in the wedding industry in Austin, the more amazing vendors I work with and just cherish for their ability to work as a team and treat one another with respect.
