Welcome friend! Looking for inspiration for your Marfa Portrait Session? Read below!

This Rainy Marfa Portrait Session is quite the doozy. First, let me preface with the fact that Marfa is a six+ hour drive away from Austin, so the expectation of AWESOME was already in place. Like, come on Universe, why do you betray me with rain? And freezing cold? Eww.

Lily is a rad chick I’ve met here in Austin, who works at the Blanton Museum. She’s chill, sweet and has a pomeranian that sounds like whispering ghosts when he barks. Her boyfriend Noah is a super laid back dude, but together, they make some sweet-ass magic.

Marfa was a disappointment though, mainly because everyone hypes it up. The famed Prada store? THIRTY MINUTES AWAY. I didn’t even go see it. Like…why? It’s in Valentine, Texas…not even in Marfa. People need to stop pretending, please. I think I would go back to Marfa to see the lights (thanks rain), stay in a TeePee and maybe just get totally unsober for two days, but outside of that, the food and gas is expensive! I truly believe there are better small Texas towns outside of Marfa!

Thanks a bunch to Lily and Noah for withstanding freezing rain, shrubbery with teeth and my crazy ass. <3
