Daley & Logan’s Vampire Wedding Part 1

January 9, 2017

I’m in love with this vampire wedding!

Every once in a blue moon, I do a wedding that needs to be presented in multiple blogs. I haven’t done this since 2014, for a three-day Indian wedding! However, Daley and Logan’s gorgeous Vampire Wedding was an *eleven-hour day* with well over 800 images edited and frankly, I’m just not going to put even 10% of that into a single blog! YOU’RE WELCOME!

I met Logan and Daley at the May expo, and when she walked up, this tall ball of fire, I was smitten. It’s like we both knew we were meant to know one another. She was so excited to hire me that she emailed me four hours after we first met, and we got together at a Starbucks the next day, and BOOM, I was their wedding photographer.

I remember sitting down with them at Starbucks, fascinated as they told me how they’ve been on MTV twice for their lifestyle, how they’re the king and queen of the Austin Vampire Court and how Daley even was a Suicide Girl once. They were my first foray into the subcultures Austin offers, and I was completely absolutely smitten!

I knew this wedding was going to be intense, just the way they described it. Opulent, extravagant, a production in itself. I called my friend Jamie, a photographer in Boston, and begged him to make the trip to Austin to be my second photographer. He agreed, and thank goodness because I don’t know of another photographer here in Austin who could have handled this kind of shindig. I think at times, we both looked at one another and wondered silently what we had gotten ourselves into. You’ll see once you see the ceremony blog, but it was an intense dramatic production, as Daley and Logan promised!

So first, we’ll start with the getting ready portion! I’m also going to list all of the amazing vendors that made this possible, in case you know you want the best of the best!
